The APEX Challenge Coin was first announced on February 7, 2019. The coin is given to deserving Oracle Application Express (APEX) developers. By the end of 2019, about 90 coins have been sponsored by generous individuals whose work and/or lives have been impacted by talented individuals all over the world. Following the announcement that APEX had made Gartner's Peer Insights Customers' Choice for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms, I was inspired to produce a new batch of challenge coins, in anticipation that we will have more APEX developers to be recognised in the near future.
Also available are challenge coins for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Administrators and Java Developers. The same sponsorship criteria and process applies. For OCI Admins, they should be skilled in the art of helping people get on the Oracle Cloud. And for Java Developers, well, they should code in the language.
In summary, the criteria for earning one of these coins remains as:
- The nominee must be an APEX Developer, OCI Administrator or Java Developer, regardless of skill level.
- Have performed exceedingly well in his/her professional career and/or contributed significantly to the community or an individual.
- Someone (the sponsor) who believes that the nominee has met both requirements (1) and (2).
